Have you thought about renewing your marriage vows? Many couples have this idea as a way that they can publicly reaffirm their commitment to each other and their love for each other. While some have small vow renewals, others decide to invite many guests to celebrate this time with them. Whether you choose a small gathering or a large and boisterous gala for the event, you can have a wonderful time.

Of course, you need to realize that renewing your vows is not a ceremony that is legal. This is only a ceremony that is sentimental and symbolic of your love for each other. In most cases, you are not going to need any paperwork at all. In some cases, the wedding chapel you use or the officiant may ask you to see the marriage certificate from your first wedding to make sure that you are married in the first place. Sometimes you may be able to get a souvenir certificate to remember the special day by.

As you are planning for a vow renewal, remember that this is not another wedding. This is a vow renewal. It's best to avoid having a shower or registering for gifts. This only looks tacky and it may make people think you are trying to take advantage of them for free gifts. Usually you won't want to have a processional and you won't need any attendants either.

Going with a vow renewal ceremony that is simple and casual is often the best choice. You want something special and beautiful without going overboard. Maybe you want to write vows to each other. Just make sure you avoid anything negative in these vows. It is best to focus on having a beautiful future together forever. Since you aren't having a processional, it's a nice touch to walk towards the centre of the room from the sides. This way you can walk to the middle of the area while looking at each other.

There is no need to purchase new wedding rings. Instead of buying new ones, have the rings blessed or rededicated at your ceremony. Having a beautiful bouquet is fine, but you don't need to toss it to anyone either. Of course, at the ceremony, toasts are definitely acceptable.

Not sure why it's a good idea to renew your marriage vows in the first place? You'll find that many great reasons are out there that may make you want to have this type of a ceremony yourself. Maybe the two of you were married in another country and you'd like to have a celebration with friends and family that are local. It's also a great option for those special anniversaries, such as your 25th or your 50th anniversary. Another reason is to get past some difficult times in your past and start fresh again with your spouse. Perhaps you want to have a religious ceremony this time or you just want to show your love to each other publicly. No matter the reason, this is a beautiful ceremony that you will both remember and appreciate in the years to come.
